SAFETY AND STANDARDS

Safety is the cornerstone of the pact between the technician and the flying public.  From the beginning, AMFA has embraced safety by maintaining a leadership position
at both the local and national level instead of relegating it to a "committee."  Safety and Standards is an integral part of the Association, from industrial safety to
professional standards to a fully capable Accident Investigation Team.

The importance of Safety to our Association is depicted in the AMFA Constitution Article II Section 2:

1. Raise the standards of and increase recognition of the class and Craft of Mechanics and Related Employees

2. Safeguard, with ceaseless vigilance, the safety of the air transportation industry in recognition of high degree of public interest, confidence, and responsibility placed on the members of the Association and network with other people and organizations with similar interest and goals

3. Stress "Safety First"
