June 23rd was National Hydration Day. Now that summer is officially here, hydration must
remain a top priority during our time spent exposed to the heat. In dry climates, it may be more
difficult to remain aware due to the lack of perspiration.
The contract proposal submission and consolidation process has been completed. As we move to narrow our focus, we have reached another step in the negotiation process.
The votes for the AMFA – Horizon Air (QX) 2nd Tentative Agreement (TA)
Ratification Referendum were tallied on May 10, 2022. 85.71% of the membership participated, and 91.03% of votes were in favor.
The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (“AMFA”) filed
Authorization for Representation cards today with the National Mediation Board (NMB) on behalf of the
Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (“AMTs”) and Related Employees at Spirit Airlines.
As AMFA’s efforts to rightfully protect your work, enhance your ability to earn, and improve wages and
benefits for our membership is having a powerful ripple effect on the rest of the industry. You and your
voice are the backbone of the aviation maintenance industry.
This is a reminder that there are 14 days remaining before the deadline of submission for the AMFA 14 Scholarship applications

In March 2022, AMFA National called for nominations to fill the following positions. Each vacant spot only had one candidate, thus an election is not required. The term of service for all three positions will commence on July 1st, 2022.
