The AMFA - Alaska Airlines Accident Investigation Team Primary and Alternate Party Coordinator positions are currently vacant, and we are seeking individuals well versed in all aspects of aircraft maintenance to fill these positions.
The Primary Party Coordinator will report to the National Safety and Standards Director and will be responsible for team administration, annual team budget, ensuring team members training, and other duties as assigned by the National Safety and Standards Director.

AMFA is currently conducting the Local 14 Officer Election to fill the positions of President, Secretary,
Safety & Standards Chairman, one Executive Officer at Large, Area Representatives, and an Airline
Contract Committee (ACC). Nominations were received by the adjournment of the September 17th RMM.

Before adjourning in September, the House of Representatives passed the Global Aircraft Maintenance Safety Improvement Act (H.R. 7321), calling for unannounced FAA inspections of foreign repair stations, minimum qualifications for mechanics and others working on U.S.-registered aircraft at foreign repair stations, data gathering and analysis, as well as additional safety improvements.
