Dear Members of Local 14, Alaska SEA Line Tech, Marc Echalas’s mother, Carol, has unexpectedly fallen ill while traveling in the Philippines. She has been diagnosed with Viral Encephalitis and presumed Meningitis, which has led to her being intubated and fighting for her life on a ventilator in the ICU. Carol is a mother of three and a grandmother to two young boys.

AMFA Local 14 Safety & Standards: Interim Chairman Appointment  March 23, 2023 Members of AMFA Local 14, Due to an extended absence with Safety & Standards Chairman, Matthew Luedtke, Local 14 has begun the process of filling the temporary vacancy in accordance with AMFA Local 14 Policy.

In February 2023, AMFA Local 14 called for nominations to fill the positions of Horizon Air Airline Rep, members of Horizon were elligible to submit nomination forms to fill this vacancy.

The AMFA - Alaska Airlines Accident Investigation Team Primary and Alternate Party Coordinator positions are currently vacant, and we are seeking individuals well versed in all aspects of aircraft maintenance to fill these positions. The Primary Party Coordinator will report to the National Safety and Standards Director and will be responsible for team administration, annual team budget, ensuring team members training, and other duties as assigned by the National Safety and Standards Director.
