Nic Kula Running for ASA ALR

Work location:
ASA SEA // Hangar Maintenance Lead Technician
Current AMFA Local 14 President

Fellow AMFA member:
I am Nic Kula your current Local 14 President and nominee for Airline
Representative.
I have worked within multiple aspects of the LEC for the vast majority of my career
and I believe I am best suited to be your next ALR. I want to fight and understand this
contract with you and alongside you. I will continue to be a present and approachable
leader of our membership. As an LEC member, I have fostered relationships and fought
grievances with members and have worked behind the scenes to maintain contractual
integrity. I know this contract. You know this contract. Let’s fight for it together.
Some Elected Career Highlights:
• Proud AMFA member since hire. Been involved in the LEC for 7 of my 10 years
at Alaska, Shop Rep in the years before that.
• Redesigned our website and communication structure
o Text Message/E-mail communication functions
• Made the motion to send out the RMM minutes to membership
• Local 14 visits local technical schools and established deep ties to South
Seattle College
• Volunteered for the AS/HA Merger Committee and made many connections
with the Hawaiian contingent.
All this to say, I believe I can make the same kind of impact on our future together as
our ALR. We need to stand for what our contract says we deserve at every turn, and I know I
will be able to lead us there, just as I have done in my roles as Secretary and President.
There is great potential on the table coming up with this AS/HA merger, and we need
to use our membership’s passion and solidarity to negotiate a fair deal for us and continue
to fight for our contract!

Brandon Statfield

Running for ASA ALR

Work location:
Current AMFA Local 14 ASA ALR

I joined Alaska Airlines as an Aircraft Technician in 2013 and proudly became an AMFA
Shop Representative in 2015. My dedication and determination to representing my
coworkers, and proper enforcement of our Collective Bargaining Agreement as a Shop
Representative, recently led me into the role of AMFA Airline Representative. As the
Local 14 ALR it has been an honor and privilege to serve the membership of Local 14.
AMFA and our members at Alaska Airlines are currently engaged in a battle for the
Union representation of our craft. Strong leadership, unwavering CBA enforcement,
open communication/transparency with the membership, and collaboration with Local
14 LEC with a commitment to the craft as an aircraft technician, have been my guiding
principles as your Airline Representative. The next chapter for our Union and
membership is upon us and consistency, along with structured knowledgeable
guidance, is key.
I am seeking reelection to ensure that our craft and principles as Aircraft Technicians
and as a Union are moving onward and upward, to see our Union merger to completion
and fruition, and to protect your rights as an AMFA member. I will always support you to
my fullest ability, as I've shown and will continue to show in the coming years. I am
extremely appreciative of the opportunity to continue to represent the membership of
AMFA Local 14 and I want to thank you all for your continued support.
