Per our Local Bylaws we must have a Shop Rep Election annually.
If you are a current Shop Rep and would like to remain one, take no further action. You will be reinstated as a one of our Local 14 Shop Reps for the next year.
In accordance with the terms outlined in Article 23, Wage Rules, AMFA and Alaska Airlines met via
video conference on October 15, 2020, to discuss the first Annual Wage Review of our current
Extension Agreement. Both sides examined all data used for the review.
AMFA and Alaska Airlines have met twice this week to discuss the EOP/ELILOF process. There were 33 EOP (Early Out Program) applicants, as well as four that applied for the bridge of ELILOF to the EOP when they turn 62.

With the possibility of some people seeking early retirement, one of the items of concern is having to leave behind your life insurance. Cutoff is OCT 15th for GUARANTEED ISSUE for Techs and Spouses. After OCT 15th, regular application process. The prospect of obtaining life insurance on your own might be of concern due to pre-existing conditions and weight issues. If you are insulin dependent diabetic or have recently had a major health event, then getting life insurance once you leave AMFA and the airline, it would not be possible outside Group Guaranteed Issue life insurance.
